It wasn’t the 55 minutes of jam-packed deep coverage of a politically charged issue that captivated my attention. Instead, I was attracted to the on screen presence of an avuncular gentleman with the distinct bushy eyebrows and the devil may care tousled hairstyle that accented his TV persona. His name alone is sustenance for marketing and social media. His segment, ‘A few Minutes with Andy Rooney’ concluded the erudite commentary of “60 minutes”. This is why he would be great as the head of a marketing firm.
The show was an concentrated no-nonsense critique of the latest news replete with exclusive interviews was relieved by Andy Rooney’s adroit execution of satiric humor. The man had a ability of delivering a series of insightful diatribes regarding mundane things in a comical manner. If you’re lucky, it could happen to you.” His down to earth attitude appeals to many.
